Geeta is the knowledge. Giving up the geeta gives up the kshema, and to give up the material gives up the knowledge. So if one has the Kshema as the knowledge of the Supreme Person then one has the Mahaatma. If one gives up the Kshema then one has the Mahatma. If one gives up the Material then one has the Mahaatma. So those who have the knowledge of the Supreme, then they have the Supreme. And those who have the knowledge of the Supreme Person, then they have the Supreme. As the medium through which the Supreme is known, then the Supreme is known through them. Therefore they are called the Kshema, the knowledge of the Supreme, and the Kshema is the knowledge of the Mahaatma.
Vasudeva, after having been the cause of the manifestation of Kshema in the universe, came down into it, but Kshema was ever in him, and Kshema is in you, and you are Kshema. The mere fact of knowing the Supreme is Kshema, and the mere fact of knowing your Self is Kshema. The consciousness of the Supremeness of the Being of the Supreme Person is itself the Supreme and is the Kshema. The consciousness of the Supreme Person, and the consciousness of the Self, are one and the same thing, the consciousness of the Supreme, the knowledge of the Supreme.
When the yogi is established in that, he knows, "I am the Kshema." When he knows this, he not only knows "I am the Supreme," he also knows "I am the Kshema," because he is the supreme knowledge. He knows, "I am the Kshema." He is known as the Mahaatma or the Maha Kshema, the Kshema of the Kshema. He knows, "I am the Mahaatma," and he also knows, "I am the Kshema," because he is the Supreme.
The most subtle and the most deep is the consciousness of the Supreme. It has no beginning and no ending, no knowledge and no ignorance. It is the consciousness of the absolute. It is the sense of the man of God. It is the spiritual knowledge which is, when realised, akin to the knowledge of the Absolute which is eternal.
